I am a King Arthur super-fan and, in general, think that if there's a tool or piece of equipment that will make your kitchen life easier, go for it! That said, this Sourdough Sidekick feels really unnecessary to me. I've been keeping my starter alive with the absolute BARE MINIMUM of effort for the past five years. I suppose it's not available "on demand," but is that really worth the counter space? For me, no.

I often feel like nurturing my starter has taught me some powerful life lessons in patience, experimentation, and flexibility... I'll keep it in its jar for now!

March (and really Feb too) have been much more miss than hit for me as well. Hope things even out for you soon!

I don't know what in the ASMR this vegetable orchestra is but I'm listening to some of their tracks now and it's definitely the oddest thing I've seen all week. Makes me want to record some tracks in the kitchen as well.

Ah, I'm sorry March wasn't great for you. I hope April is better. At least you made a beautiful loaf of bread?

Also, I don't know what to do with this information about the Vegetable Orchestra. The concept makes me inexplicably uncomfortable, and yet I'm making all my coworkers learn about it too.

April is already off to a better start! And I’ll have another loaf on Friday :)

What did your coworkers think about the Vegetable Orchestra? Did they think it was cool or gross that they make soup with the leftover veg? Do you have a dream instrument??

Ha, one of them said "sign me up for a cucumberphone" and another said ":| no" and the rest politely ignored my not-work-related imposition on the department chat, so... mixed reviews, I guess you could say
